Here in Arkansas I had a 12x24 metal building built in my backyard. Total cost of building, concrete and labor came to just over 9k. Was cheaper than putting a prebuilt wood shed.

I was thinking of a pole barn, but for the same square footage it was about $40k, vs $17k for a metal building that has a 60psf snow load rating, 170mph wind rating, and vaulted ceilings with no wood to get rotten or infested with termites.

In my area a 30x40 metal building on a concrete slab is 30k, same style pole barn with concrete floor is 50k
