280.8 km Bangalore Satellite Town Ring Road (STRR, NH-948A) by NHAI is an under construction 4-6 lane access-controlled expressway with a route alignment in Karnataka connecting 12 towns of Dobbasapete, Doddaballapura, Devanahalli, Sulibele, Hoskote, Sarjapura, Attibele, Anekal, Tattekere, Kanakapura, Ramanagara and Magadi.

This greenfield expressway under Bharatmala Pariyojna Lot-3 will serve as a bypass around Bengaluru city. It is being built in 3 parallel phases and involves construction of NH-948A and realignment of existing NH-648 (old NH-207).

New Ring road which are being constructed should be minimum of 4 lanes each side for future viewing upto 50 years. Best ring road of India is of Hyderabad. Very beautiful and very speedy for traveling.

Only Hyderabad has a proper international standards Outer Ring Road. Hyderabad is the first city to get a proper 8 lane, access controlled ring road back in 2010 itself. No city outer ring road in India can be compared with Hyderabad outer ring road. Its the best. Hope other cities will also have a similar ORR.

i Think only city with ring road is Hyderabad, Kudos to the vision of CBN and later development by YSR, we have excellent 6 lane Ring road facility which helps logistics industry easy to surpass Hyderabad traffic and move on

Awesome video! One question. At 7:40 why is there a toll plaza while this project is based on HAM model? Roads built on HAM model are supposed to be toll free am I right? Or am I missing something?

This looks the the 3rd outer ring road. This will benefit trucks to bypass city but for commuters you need an inner ring road from the point Mysore expressway ends. The actual city limits are probably 50 km inside this ring road. Also at so many places this road was directly connected to at-grade normal roads. Until they are removed, this looks like a semi-expressway. Also they need to make the reserve lane wider as there are only 2 lanes. Hopefully the new ring expressways planned in Pune and Mumbai are completely elevated and not repeat these mistakes.
