We spend the last few days in the Whitsundays and respond to a midnight Mayday call from a charter boat. We celebrate Birthdays with friends before heading North to Cape Gloucester, Bowen and then into Horsehoe Bay on Magnetic Island. Exploring the Forts on Magnetic and seeing Koalas is a real bonus. Then onto Townsville so we can fly to Southport and go to the dentist.....

Magnetic Island is amazing, but the butterflies at the Butterfly Walk are only there in big numbers at certain times of year, usually around June to September
