iPhone SE is comfortably small but with heavy downsides. iPhone 13mini would be 100times better buy than SE

I think this selection is all about Compactability vs battery life

I doubt i can ever use anything above 6.1 inch iPhone... Pro max is way too bulky for use outside the home. But i can understand those that can use it.

Smaller iPhone for me, because of smaller hands than most people, and they aren't as expensive.

I use the 13 Pro. It's almost the right size, IMO. I think the 5.8" on the iPhone X was just right. Of course, I don't watch videos or play intensive games on my phone, nor would I be classified as a 'Power User'. It's harder to make a smaller phone with decent battery these days as we are in the age of camera insanity. I want a phone with a decent camera, not a camera with a phone attached. Phone cameras, overall, have been pretty good for quite a while now. Yet many seem unable to be satisfied. That's the story of the path we're on these days though.

I really miss the size of the iPhone 4/4S. I remember putting my 4S next to my 12 mini and made the 12 mini look bulky and awkward by comparison .

I've considered getting a 4S from eBay because I kinda regret selling mine after only 3 months owning it last year. But what's the point? Even on iOS6, it's worthless. Can't download apps. Be mostly used as an iPod which my SE1 already does for me.

Today, I nearly won an eBay auction for a unused Nexus One. I was the highest bidder until the last 30 seconds. TBH, I was so relieved I didn't win. I would've had to pay over $120 for a device I won't even use.

Nexus One was my first Android back in October 2011. I sold the first one which was second-hand after a week for $160 . Got a brand new one for $130. Owned it for 3 years before selling it . Bought it again in Jan 2021 before selling it a month later after realizing the power button was broken. I couldn't wake it any more.

The power button and GPU on them are a joke. I needed this app called Wake Up Touch Nexus to avoid pressing the power button. Nexus One also can only play videos at its resolution or lower. I couldn't store 720p movies on there. I only used my recent Nexus One I had to play Frozen Bubble with the trackball. It's worthless beyond that. Didn't have true multi-touch with 10 fingers. Only 2 which was a hindrance for games.

I've been thinking about getting an iPhone 2G, 4 or 4S, and Nexus One. Even an HTC One M7. But what's the point? Nostalgia? I owned those models multiple times and sold them off each time. I think I'm good with the current phones I have. I have 11 and it does get confusing which one is charged or not. When you have more iPhones than friends like Simple Alpaca does, then you really need to reevaluate your life.

Best iPhones to me were released between 2007-2016 with the standouts being the 2G, 4/4S, 5/5S/SE1, and matte black 7.

I thought iPhones felt more special during that first decade and it felt special owning one those first 3 years when it was still an AT&T exclusive. From 2012 to 2014 is when iPhones really hit mainstream as the 5 was for all major carriers and the 6 sold the most iPhones ever .

I did like iPhones finally getting wireless charging by 2017. But iPhones have gotten mostly boring 💤 and arguably uglier since then. Even the mini series did not excite me at all.

Call me old school but iPhones just felt cool and fresh those first few years. Then it got really stale after the 5S. I know the X is the most popular but it's the most overrated of the bunch. It's only praised being a 10-year-anniversary iPhone .

I kind of wish the next iPhone SE they make is like a 7 or 8 plus. I would definitely buy that
