Great vid -the local dealer advice. My local Michelin dealer recommended all seasons when I see lots of snow and ice on hills. Also scratched all my wheels with shoddy equipment.

Finally, my question on YouTube. How good are Michelin CC2 compared to a Winter Tire in the snow? Please do a video comparing them. Maybe the CC2's are almost as good on snow.

Great video but I think it causes confusion between the different terms used for tyres in different parts of the world. In the UK, we have a summer tyre, which seems to be called an all season tyre in the US, however some in the US call these 3 season tyres. We have an all season tyre which is designed to work all year round, but these seem to be called all weather tyres in the US. Then we have winter tyres, which are also called winter tyres in the US.

The answer is If you live in an area with severe winter conditions in winter then you need and want both sets of tires. Get 2nd set of rims and rotate winter tires on and off ant the beginning and end of winter seasons. Run the all season/all weather if they have the 3 peaks mountain symbol for spring summer and fall.

You will always be protected from inclement weather with this approach.

If you live in a warmer climate in winter 50-70 degrees temperatures and only rarely or occasionally drive to winter conditions then run the all weather tires year round and carry chains or an auto sock just in case it gets extreme weather. 👍✅
