CargoTrans C-160 Build

1120mm wingspan twin motor C-160 (French / German alternative to the Hercules C-130) All up weight 700g with 2200 2S, CG at 50mm. Had to cut a battery hatch forward of the wing. Motors and ESCs from the Sky Hawk V2 A-Tail (2205 2300kV Holybro) 5x5x3 props. Counter rotating and differential thrust for ground handling. Not a bad kit for the money. Wing may need some strengthening.

Wow! That was a very involved build for a factory plane. I just completed a scratch build parkjet and it's not that involved, although, a much less complicated design to be sure. Thank you so much for the tutorial on this build as I'm sure I would need it ;-) See you in the Air!

Hi Andrew. I have just finished building this. The battery fit's in the box inside the removable wheels. Seems to balance ok. 2s or 3s fit in ok. I fitted a gyro for stability

unfortunately you leave out the most difficult parts of the assembly of the nose wheel and the installation of the motor mounts and motors to the nacelles

Hello Andrew. Thanks for the assembly video. I got 2 sets of this kit from Banggood and been trying to assemble it slowly. Actually I had a couple of questions like, where do I install the ESC and the battery. After watching your video, finally I can finish my project.

Just to note...the French-German C-160 Transall never was used by the USAF or any American Branch. And certainly not with French roundels on the wing! Do you think Banggood wants us to believe it's a C-130, with a tiny bit of deniability?

No battery hatch seems to be a major error.
