So in the UK if you have the A2 qualification after 2022 you can’t fly a legacy drone (you can’t fly this drone) within up to 5m of people but you could with a future certified drone... what about if you have the GVC? Could you then still fly that close with this drone? Or will that only be with future certified drones too?

There may never be a CE certified drone if the manufacturers decide it's not worth their effort for the relatively small European market. I foresee a similar scenario to electric bikes. You can buy one On-line that doesn't comply with the regulations and still use it. In the vast majority of cases, no one will ever ask about the legality until you run over a pedestrian with your illegal e-bike or your illegal drone falls on someone's head.

im in the uk and i couldn't care less about certification (for commercial use) and what he is saying is not really true. Not everyone wants to fly this in congested places and near people. Your asking the wrong drone expert. He's a commercial drone expert. no matter where you are in the world there are regulations on commercial. drone use I'm In the uk and the same rules would apply for 2 pro. you couldn't fly that close to people in congested places it is no different. But providing you fly in accordance with the drone ie not over people and at least 150m away from buildings then all you need to do is register.
