Joan Mills has strong pure voice throughout this recording. Not as well known as Jacqui McShee or Sandy Denny perhaps but her performance certainly stands up in that company. Reminiscent of Joan Baez in her younger days. Michael Raven's guitar style is stylistically disciplined and in some songs informed by his contact with Flamenco guitarists in his early years.
