OK so I’ve not seen $5 a year for a domain, where do you find that??? It’s often $20 every year.

some people are just getting started and costs can add up really quickly, a paid domain requires a paid hosting service and a paid SMTP server, just because you are sponsored by some domain registrar, don't make people think they need and have to, even google itself said it doesn't mind a sub-domain for a portfolio as long as it shows your skills
