Yes Golden Gift was a downloadable story that was free. Somewhere in my collection of old magazines I still have the copy of PC Gamer with their article about it. Was nice to see a beautifully done re-master of this game.

with regards to the voice acting, they did actually take on the feedback of people not liking it and redid the redub again, it does sound better, but i think a lot of people will still cling to the original, i imagine it wont be long until someone creates a mod that brings back the old VA, i imagine there's legal issues for microsoft themselves to do it as a base-line feature given it's not already in the game.
As for the game itself, there is actually a hidden 5th age, if you build a wonder it triggers a wonder age, which dramatically reduces the cost/cooldown of god powers, powers up your titan and even lets you build multiple, so it's this absolute bonkers god-like mode and it's really nice to see them have the wonder play a role in the game that isn't just the wonder victory condition.

Pravous Don't ever choose to train Odysseus because he'll betray his comrades to get home to his wife unless you want him to be at the base to keep it safe than he'll kill anything he can to protect it

Best thing about the age of mythology reboot is getting the new game, the second best (and very close) has been discovering that i was never alone in my enjoyment of this game. As a 7 year old withojt internet i never new so many people loved the game

Oh holy crap, even the plenty vault is infinite with favor use. A turtles dream.
Eventually they will just feed into each other, because when you reach a certain number of vaults and have economy just from them, all villages then become favor generators and it becomes a loop.
