1080 Ti is still a monster GPU, but honestly i thought that gap would be bigger but its only 20-30%.
Btw power consumption for 4060 Ti is very impressive.

As much as one can laugh at this, the real question is wtf happened with the 20x0 and 30x0 series? I'm still on my 1070ti and saw no reason to upgrade when 20x0 launched nor when 30x0 came along. It's only NOW that I'm finally deciding to get something new.

So, my brother built a new pc with a 4090, and he told me i could buy his old 1080 ti and his 850W PSU from him for $240, would be upgrading from a 1660 ti to a 1080 ti be worth it for that price?

1080ti still going for 1440p, and it will run into vram problems later than new mid range cards.
I really did not expect that I use my card so long I would need more than 8gig.
Don't forget higher textures are the best visual increase with the least performance impact.
Almost criminal what they did with the 4k low mid range cards.

As much as i loved the 1080ti and hate the 4060ti, i would still get the 4060ti used for a decent price, lower power consumption and better performance at 1080p

For 6 years old that thing is shockingly good. It's probably worth upgrading if you do 1440p gaming but wow you could very well keep your 1080ti otherwise

If it wasn't for my wish to play at 4k at 144hz I wouldn't have upgraded from my 1080 ti. If you are watching this because you thought of upgrading, just don't! This card was a masterpiece of its time and is still fine for almost all games at 1440p and still a total overkill if you "only" play full HD for probably still a few years to come.
