Ken Block v Mad Mike on the Goodwood hill

Who smoked it better at the Festival of Speed presented by Mastercard, the mighty Hoonigan himself, Ken Block in his Hoonicorn Mustang, or Mad Mike Whiddett in his awesome rotary-powered RADBUL Mazda MX-5? #FOS

Much as I love Ken Block I gotta say Mad Mike definitely won that round.

If you're talking drifting, Mad Mike did it better as far as I could tell as I am not a drifting fan. Mad Mike was more sideways and produced more smoke and that seems to be the idea.

Far from apples to apples here. RWD vs AWD on a narrow, tight course like that and it was never really a comparison. If you've ever slid a high HP AWD car, you realize how wide it pushes compared to a RWD car where the front tires are still actually gripping and steering the car. With AWD, when all four break loose, you don't have the same grip. It's different. You have to carry a lot more speed and cover a wider track to be as sideways. I think it's safe to say Ken proved he could drive the wheels off just about anything in most any circumstance. Mike put on a show for sure but part of Ken's show was the famous vehicle itself. That said, the smoke show was a guarantee for the RWD from the get go.

To be fair, Ken was probably being conscientious that his passenger was old fella that owns the land and is behind Goodwood being what it is now. But besides, the Hoonicorn is a motorkhana car, not a drift car. Big difference.

mad mike has always been the best styled drifter, u cant compare since u cant beat him in a looks battle, but i will say awd and rear wheeel drive cant compare on that track neither. he hits way insane angles. also red bull vs monster lol

Ken Block is showman, Mad Mike is a professional drift racer. It cannot be said that Ken Block was very successful in rally. With the four-wheel drive car, a show is not drifting. Real drift is done with a rear wheel drive car. Achievements Mad Mike
