Malia Obama has chosen to attend Harvard University in the fall of 2017. We took a look back at the college choices of first kids who were teenagers or young adults when their parents lived in the White House, as far back as President John F. Kennedy.

Ivanka spent her first two college years at Georgetown University (her brother Eric's alma mater). In her junior year, however, she transferred to the Wharton School of Finance at the University of Pennsylvania. She graduated from Wharton in 2004 with a degree in economics. It's something of a family tradition -- her father often brags about his Wharton degree, and Ivanka's older brother Donald Jr. and younger sister Tiffany went to college there, too.
