"Nobody knows more about health care than I do!" "Who knew health care was so difficult?"

The ACA, mend it, don't end it. More of it works each year. Trump is playing a political game where America loses big time.

The irony of this so-called "unconstitutional" law is that the ACA is a conservative, profit-driven healthcare system.

Trump is so excited, "How many times can I keep recycling the same health care lies and my stupid base keeps swallowing them?"

Anyone remember when the Republicans did present a Plan?
They put 500 Blank pages in a bok binder. And placed on small table for display. And Paul Ryan? said here is our plan.

It is baffling and incomprehensible to me that Americans don’t look at the various systems used around the world and then consider why these systems work so well. Every civilized, first world country uses a form of single payer or state funded health care. No American seems to ask why? The answer is because it works! Free market capitalism works well with many markets, but not health care. You need economies of scale, low administration costs, the ability of care for illnesses that can never be profitable like liver cancer (expensive to treat, poor outcomes generally). You need a system which encourages people to use it for routine check ups and wellness testing so diseases are caught earlier. A disease caught early is not only much cheaper to treat, it is also much more likely to give better outcomes, cancer is the obvious one. If people are fitter and healthier they can work, if they work they pay taxes. People who suffer chronic, but treatable illnesses are unlikely to be capable of working and will cost the community more. Socialised, state medicine also aids economically by providing much greater freedom of labour. People can move employment without worrying whether or not their new job carries adequate, or any, health care benefits. The crushing costs of health care is lifted from the shoulders of small businesses. People can come off welfare to work for small businesses. However, the main thing you may want to consider is health care outcomes. Every major country uses some form of state or single payer health care/insurance and has better health care outcomes than America; see where America comes in health care, it’s frighteningly low. The Germans have had state health care since 1866 (introduced by that well known liberal, Count Von Bismarck!). It costs around 9% of GDP, America pays 18% of GDP. Under our systems everyone is covered for all complaints and diseases, you’re not fighting with an insurance company over care, or levels of care. Lifetime or annual caps don’t exist under our system, copays don’t exist under our system. The state or the state insurance system can ensure cheap drugs. I’m British, we pay $8.75 per prescription (around $12.00). If you were diabetic your monthly insulin bill would be around $36-$40, not $1, 500!! To me this whole subject is a no brainer, but I’m someone who has enjoyed the total cover of state medicine all my life, looking in to the American experience. All I can say is American friends tell me health care costs are a nightmare and the leading cause of bankruptcy for Americans. You need to look at other country systems, learn, and then change. Your current system is medieval, inefficient and not working.
