Thanks so much for this. For those asking about the sleeves; I think for Rita's dress the armhole was already cut into the dress before the balloon tube part is attached.

Nice one dear I'm thinking the design is a tube dress with a rectangular high low design not necessarily a full circle, then gathered to give the look and yes lighter and softer fabrics will be best for it

I love this, though my only concerned is how do you keep it from riding up or coming down (as in what about sleeves, or armholes?) I think their design had bubble sleeves and attached it to the main bodice, but idk how to go about doing that lol. So if you attempt this again, I would love to see you do sleeves too!

You did a beautiful job. If I were to use the blue "inspiration" blouse, I would cut a wide rectangle or circle (as you did) and then add Dolman sleeves.
