In this guitar lesson quick tip video we're going to be talking about expressing our feelings!! geez that sounds so wussy :) Chopper says, harden the **** up!!

Being a singer I think that's what music is all about. Sharing emotions, so that we can relate to one another. Technic is a great foundation and good for practice, but while performing it is about emotion.

This is so true.So many guitarists can play scales and all quickly but it takes real skill to express yourself through the instrument.I find David Gilmour to be the most skillful known guitarist to be able to transform feelings to licks and stuff, you can feel it.Other guitarists just do dry playing.

My good mate has being playing amazingly & technically perfect for many years, and always striving for even more perfection, but it never really touched me.
My own playing, while technically very imperfect, is straight from the heart and reaches further into the soul for people who want that feeling that music can give.
Now he has finally discovered where his music SHOULD come from, and it's turned his playing into a window to his soul. Now he's complete.

David Gilmour is a brilliant example of how to play with emotion. I also like a lot of the solos that Slash has recorded with Guns n Roses. Mark Knopfler is another good one.
