Germany would've beaten any of the other teams still in the tournament! Unfortunately the 2 best teams faced each other too early! What a game!

After watching Spain vs Germany it becomes so hard for me to watch Portugal vs France because the other one is entertaining and the other one is boring

Germany (and Spain for that matter) got very unlucky with the draw. They've been the best two teams in the tournament.

Spain vs Germany never disappoint be it club level or international. Great Technical and Tactical Prowess. This could have been a Final. Great Game, world class players and youth talent. Both Powerhouses!

Am still baffled by French team, in d semi final without scoring any goal. All their goals are own goals & penalty shootout & they are d bookie’s favorite.

Anthony Taylor showing off the quality of the Premier League once again. Disgraceful performance from start to finish.

It’s pretty incredible how guys like Morata and Havertz continue getting significant minutes for their countries…finding competent strikers today is impossible 😂

16 years!! When I was 16 years old, I ate shower shampoo because it was lemon, and now at 25 I tried it again to remember its flavor

The Spanish team was the favourite for me before this game, but I was surprised that Germany was more than able to keep up. That's why it gives hope for the next competitions and the Germans can still be proud. But this time we have to be fair and say - congratulations Spain!

It was special to see Merino do his father's celebration when he scored that goal. On we go 🇪🇸🇪🇸

It's a scandal that Anthony Taylor is even allowed to ref a game on this level. Not surprised to find a history of controversy after tonight's horrible display.

Taylor was even worse than his national team.

Germany were worthy opponents, and if they had won, I would be sad but not disappointed.
I just wished this game would have been the final, because Germany deserved to be runner up, not leave at quarterfinals, they are much better than any other team in the QF.

Kroos destroyed Pedri (who wasn't 100% to begin with) and didn't even get a yellow, so he had the option of committing a flagrant foul later by yanking Olmo back when he was heading towards a one-on-one with Neuer. Kroos couldn't have done that if he had received the first yellow when he so deserved it, when he killed Pedri. On the other hand, Kroos did Spain a favor because Olmo was fantastic.

Kind of feels like a result based analysis. They make it seem like spain were by far the better team when they clearly struggled

Spain has been impressive from the very kick off of their tournament. When you add up their performances, it's a deserved qualification.

In case of the "handball" you have to consider what the result of this action could be. And here it was a clear shot on the goal, that has been stopped. So clear goal avoided, what a big mistake from the referee!

I was not expecting Germany to win this game, so I was not disappointed. On the contrary, I am proud of how they fought till the bitter end and though I am German I think I can honestly say without any bias that Germany would have deserved it more in the end for all the chances they fought to create. Big Congratulations to Spain though who certainly also deserve to be where they are now. From now on I will be cheering for our Dutch brothers.
