I can understand why the literary Bond didn’t dress that stylish. A special agent doesn’t want to stand out. He wants to blend in.

I gotta say I've been really enjoying all your videos and you seem to fill a void that is missing within the category of fashion videos. I really like the styles you talk about and all these videos are really put together and always give me good inspiration and ideas, so awesome work!

Thanks for the video. I'm a big fan of the Fleming books and fashion. I suspect that Bond, like Fleming, dressed expensively while simply. We know that he had a tailor- as mentioned in Dr No, and the brand name drops were always premium. Like most of us, his wardrobe was likely scattered with other items that he wore as occasion demanded like the black leather sandals or the white dinner jacket he wore in Thunderball.

I’m a big fan of the James Bond books, and Bond in general. Thanks for the vid!

Great video, thank you. My favorite Bond books are Casino Royale and Dr. No.

I have read Casino Royal and You Only Live Twice. I was amazed at how different YOLT was from the film, although I had read previously that this was the case. I don't remember Bond's clothes being mentioned that much.

I have read almost all of them. In fact, I’m reading Goldfinger and Thunderball right now. I haven’t read them all in order by the way. I can’t say I ever remember him mentioning he wears short sleeve shirts. Not sure where that came from. But great video!

I have been reading the Ian Filming novels in order and as usual the books are different from the movies. I was surprised at the lack of style Bond has in the books and I like the movies better in that case. However the movies are out of order and reading the books makes more sense and Segway into each other giving you more understanding of the things that happen and the characters such as John Strangways and Felix leiter. Leiter is way different in the books. Won't give any spoilers in case someone wants to read them. Cheers Ron

A video on your favourite outfits from each bond would be outstanding I think

You didn't mention Bond's penchant for cocktail cuffs, also known as turnback cuffs as opposed to the French cuff.

I wanted to express my gratitude for all the valuable advice you've given all of us with regarding personal reinvention.

I was wondering if you could create a video guide on essential clothing items for a gentleman's capsule wardrobe. This could include items such as shoes, shirts, suits, and anything else you think is necessary.

Great video. You might want to consider doing one comparing the clothing in the book and film "The Day of the Jackal." You have a great vision for your videos and channel. Thank you.

I would like your take on Bruce Wayne's style and dressing.

I’ve always loved the way the various James Bond’s looked in these films. They were so handsome and stylish. I especially liked the scenes where Bond would be in a casino playing blackjack and he’d be wearing a tuxedo that was obviously tailor made for him and he looked so debonair. My FAVORITE Bond was the Australian actor George Lazenby. He only played James once (in On Her Majesty’s Secret Service) but I think he was the best of them all, with the exception of Connery. Like Connery, he was a model before becoming an actor, and he always looked SENSATIONAL in the clothes he wore!

I've always assumed the Bond of the books dressed much like Ian Fleming himself. Certainly the dress of some of the villains is described in much more detail - Cartier cufflinks and Faberge cigarette cases, for instance.

Z, great content but a small note, in "For your eyes only" 1981, Bond uses his shoelaces to create a Prusik knot, attaching himself to his climbing rope to ascend a mountain.

I was born in the 60’s and ❤ everything about the decade today for the fashion. My bond was Sean for this reason.

When Sean ‘got the job’ Terence Young ‘knocked Sean’ into shape as Sean was a ‘very rough diamond’

Terence knew all the right people so Anthony Sinclair for the suits. Turnball & Asser for the shirts and John Lobb for the shoes.

In 1967 Sean in an interview told the interviewer that he had kept all the clothes from all the films made.

I wonder what has happened to them since October 2020🙏🙏🙏
👞👞👍 👍
