We are in for an interesting decade. I suspect that a vast majority of people are severely underestimating the coming changes to virtually every aspect of life and society.

AI can never convey (nor replace) true passion, emotion, or creativity. The film and television industry will never be the same if this is allowed to progress. I'm not impressed.

I think we should be careful about teaching AI art…eventually it will be good at everything and then what will we do? Why are people so blindly excited about ai doing everything?

Edit: Also I am concerned with a generation of kids who don’t draw and sculpt and make music. The arts are an outlet for our humanity. No way am I letting some robot have all the fun.

Ai needs to be regulated before it gets out of control . Ai is not bad it’s just it might get abused

AI needs more people like Jon headlining it instead of the silicon valley tech bro perpetually online weirdos usually associated with it. He genuinely seems to care about the implications of the tech while deftly showing a path forward with contagious enthusiasm and empathy.

I use it to write code, people tend to think that means I just copy paste.
Yes, and no. There's a ton of human input needed still. It won't just make useful applications on its own, yet.

With that being said, it can do simple programming no problem. Making simple console apps and viruses is really easy if you know what to ask it :)

Great interview, may all people be as open to intelligent dialogue as these two in the video. Props to NBC for keeping a neutral bias. I'd love to see Jon's work in the future to see how far he'll go with this tech

In 5-10 years directors, actors, cgi programers, stuntmen and all the artist involved will most be jobless. Even the tv hosts here. As illustrations artists are starting to be.

And it will reach to many many other jobs areas

I know it doesn't look perfect, but this is a first step of a not so far revolution In the industry, that is evolving very fast. At last people with poor resources will be able to make their own movies.

Getting into A.I is gonna be needed if you're gonna step into any industry these days. Better be on the safe side

What’s scary is if AI starts watching its own movies 🎥 😅

I'm excited. Pretty soon, we won't need to pitch scripts to studios in the hope to get funding.
