One of the raw and purest films I have seen in a long time. It was so nice to see familiar scenery as I grew up in Nova Scotia as a child. As an adolescent I had the fortune of working with the Mi'kmaq Friendship Center in Halifax. It was a wonderful learning experience but also an eye-opening and heart opening experience when I visited Shubenacadie Reservation. I have a deep reverence for the indigenous peoples of this continent because of it. I highly recommend this film to anyone. To everyone involved in the making of this film...wela'lioq🙏

It will be interesting to see and gauge the reaction of the 'Brodeo Culture, ' regarding the topics shared in this feature, I will state unequivocally, a valuable and educational production. I have lost relatives and friends who faced these issues and had no where even to look for hope. It is a shame on my own part I will have for the rest of my days in acknowledgement of my own ignorance and bias to which am learning and growing further away from - with work presented like this, bravo to all involved in this project and to Joshua Odjick's courage and bravery and effort in portrayal, this makes me want to be a better Uncle and pursue the craft in front of and behind the lens on my own journey. I truly look forward to attending a screening in Ottawa the National Capital Region of the Canada, all of which is situated on the un-ceded and non-surrendered Algonquin Peoples Territory since time immemorial.
