Big Changes To WarThunder Economy!

Going through Gaijin's freshly published roadmap of changes, and giving my thoughts on each of the major items.

The biggest thing going forward is going to be accountability. People have to make sure that Gaijin isn’t let off the hook if they do something wrong. If nobody enforces some standards they’ll just go back to what they were doing before. Watch them closely gamers o7

7:14 I saw the reduced repair costs from shorter lifespans as a way to incentivize respawning even in losing situations, which I think is a major factor in the "one and done" behavior. I see a lot of steamrolls happen in Ground RB because once your team is on the backfoot and at a numerical and positional disadvantage, respawning puts you at an inherently increased risk of dying without making meaningful gains. This change means you'll be able to respawn without the worry that immediately dying to a spawncamper is going to cost you 20k.

In the vote suggestion I've added two things: give us the ability to relocate RPs that have been stuck between vehicles in the TT and give the ability to spend SL, not only GE on the yellow RP.

These changes are really gonna make a difference. I’ve already introduced several people to War Thunder but these changes will definitely make me more comfortable with recommending the game to more casual gamers

That new folding thing for the tech tree will also help with the 'research however many more vehicles before you can research rank wgatever vehicles' because then you can complete a folder way quicker.

about the thing with the already dead aircraft: i guess this also addresses the issue of already dead planes still being able to land and get repaired after they lost a wing

26:45 I agree that this is for the ground vehicle decorations. I believe this is a response to the continued complaints about bushes. I think in one of the recent Passed to Devs, they said they were considering allowing HE and HEAT shells to blast away bushes and other decorations. I have a horrible memory so I'm likely misquoting them.

I am genuinely glad for these changes. I do hope Gaijin doesn't fall into the trap of trying to appease the few who will never be happy. I'm actually surprised how how good some of these changes are. Hopefully the easier grind can encourage more people to join, and by do so increase the player base and naturally increase the profits Gaijin can see.
