Well this is for sure what Lambda referred to in Umineko, though this is a haphazard way of answering that.
Nearly all of us thought once her horn broke, she would turn into Hanyuu, since Umineko said that Featherine lost sight of who she is (with her memories scrambled) and her appearance had changed drastically.
But instead Ryukishi makes it very vague what Hanyuu is exactly to Eua rather than them being one being (though he confirms Hanyuu came from her) and he just makes Eua turn into a child just to satisfy the appearance quota, even though it seems she still knows who she is. All in an underwhelming way.

For quite literally everyone saying featherine lost or some shit
1. Read Umineko. Pieces are a thing, and act as avatars or roleplay inserts. Eua is not featherine, but is her piece. Beating a piece does mean you can suddenly beat the main deal.
2. Featherine has shown greater capacity than this, when she feels motivated. A miracle was shown to her, so she left the world. That ties in well with my third point-
3. The fact that she "left the world" instead of anything else. If featherine got killed, beat, or anything similar, why the hell is this phrasing a thing? She left the world, meaning, higurashi as a tale.
This isn't a downgrade to featherine at all, this is why people should read Umineko goddamn
