Throughout our Inspiring How UC That journey, we, like many other content creators, have run into a number of technological issues while editing our videos. We have relied heavily on the knowledge and helpfulness of other Youtubers to help get us over these challenges. With that in mind, Kevin is hear to share a useful tip with fellow content creators.

If you are unfamiliar with Open Broadcast Software (OBS), it is a program that allows you to capture streamed content to use for your videos. If you've used this, and it resulted in you can capture audio but just get a black screen, Kevin has figured out a very handy workaround. Hopefully this will help you in making interesting and entertaining videos!

I wish your guidance for how to resolve the issue by changing the security settings went deeper than "ya know, mess with it a little bit..."

Works on Mac with Brave with hardware acceleration disabled. With QuickTime Player / native screen recording, too.

This is the latest of your videos. I've disabled accelerated hardware in resolution. And I've taken off every security setting in custom settings in Firefox. It doesn't work.

Would you happen to know of a workaround for the Windows "Movies & TV" app?

Firefox just recently did an update. I tried your work around and still no luck. especially just using the windows screen record. When I switched to Chrome it seems to be working there at the moment. In Chrome I am able to do Prime, Max and all the rest.

It cant work. If you deactivate DRM Copy Security in the Firefox Setting, the Videos from Amazon, Netflix, Disnex etc. will not Play. (2024)

Is there a way to screen record iTunes movies?

Thanks for your efforts and insights! I use a laptop with Intel Graphics, and unfortunately Windows settings doesn't show an option to turn on/off hardware acceleration: I'm on Windows 10 Home (22H2), with an Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-7500U CPU. I also disabled the "Hardware Acceleration when available" setting in FF, it still doesn't work. Maybe that I'd have to use a PC with a discrete graphics card? Or use Chrome.. nah lol. I'll try with some other browser.

What about for Apple purchases on the TV app? Any way to stop the black screen for that?

Thank You. But it doesn't work for me. When recording from Amazon Prime, I only get the black screen when I put a movie in full screen mode. If the movie is not in full screen, no problems and no black screen. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
