Watch me tackle the great outdoors and attempt "Somnarium" by AAL.

This tune is incredibly fun to play, and I think Javier's part is just perfect for this song.

I recorded everything beforehand and decided that I wanted a change of scenery, so I went outside to shoot the vid.

Let me know what you think!
Enjoy!

Wow man, I'm looking at picking up one of these guitars and this cover really sold it! Amazing!

I live in St. Louis, MO and it gets really humid here in the summer! It sucks sometimes because it feels so "muggy" outside. The humidity must be low where you live.

Great cover! Too bad you don't get too many views on your covers, they're of good quality! Keep up the good work!

Hey bro, great job on the clean and leads! I agree this song is both complicated and beautiful. It would be awesome to see the vids side by side!

Thanks! I don't mind not getting thousands of views. Just want to have fun playing and making these vids :)

CHON is amazeballs!!! I haven't bought their album yet but def plan on it. There should be no prob mixing strings. On my 7 string I still use an Ernie Ball 6 string set with a d'addario as my seventh. :D

No, but I have an Iron Label RG7. Nearly identical to your RG7 I think. I really like the Gibraltar bridge. Smoother on the hand when palm-muting and such.

what's with AAL covers and very nice, green lawns?

Hey bro....awesome job....Everyone tends to lean more towards Tosin's part.

Stock RG8 pickups, recorded with a PODHD running through an M-audio Fastrack Pro into Logic.

Haha well yes I did, but I used a program called The Amazing Slow Downer for help on some of the quicker parts! Played it slow then gradually sped it up :P

nice! the harmonic material in this song has really stretched my ear over the last few weeks, and it's great to see the rhythm work up close so I can understand what it is I'm hearing. I did a cover of my own, of all the clean and lead work. Check it out and let me know what you think bro! I thought it might be a cool idea to link them up side by side and see what it looks like haha

Las Vegas, NV. Dry as hell and hot as hell. How do you like the bridge of the new RG8? Is it comfy?

haha there must be something about their music that makes people want to play outside :P

Awesome cover dude :D I was wondering what gauge strings you have cause I have the exact guitar and the tone that's coming out of your 8th string is really thick and bass-y, where as mine is just really loose. So yeah, just wondering what gauge strings you use and just an awesome cover overall :D
