the intro song at 00:04.... when I was caring for my mom while she was declining from early onset Alzheimer's, I was having a really hard day and feeling like I had lost that only person who ever loved me unconditionally and my best friend in the whole world. I went to my room and played this playlist and when this first song started I just broke down and started bawling for the first time in a really long time. strangely, it wasn't just despair... as I felt like I was held with love by this song. To this day when I listen, it is oh so bitter sweet...

Three years later this remains legitimately the best VGM lofi comp out there. No other compilation so holistically captures all the greatest hits of the genre. I mean, Kamex? Insaneintherain? DJ Cutman? Mesomonium's iconic KK slider remix? ZENCHA?? The Mario 64 file select? These remixes are seriously found all over the place in other compilations, the aboslute mainstay, but I've never seen them all compiled so well into one place.
