Can’t believe at the age of 66 that I’ve just learnt to tie my trainer shoe laces correctly! Love the bow-less look, and tucking the laces under the insole. Now to sort out the rest of my shoes! Cheers for that!

Only problem with these methods is that your shoe is super loose. I currently use the third method but have to tie the laces tighter in order to keep my shoes from being too loose. Problem is that when you tie them tighter, they sometimes make the tongue sit weird. Neither way seems to be ideal.

i used to do this in highschool, it gets really uncomfortable with the knot behind the tongue like that, then I stopped caring about "style" and just do it normally like a pleb

Wait so all three options involve your shoes being loose or having bunched up laces in your shoes? Is there mo option that actual involves tying?

It's not safe to have loose fitting shoes.

The problem is if you tuck your laces in then the shoe fits loose and the back end (ankle area) sticks out. I think maybe getting a size smaller then what you normally wear might fix the problem though. A more snug shoe for sure, but when its the laces aren't tied that snug should disappear? Hopefully.

I make a small eight tightly with laces and put the remaining lace to the side of the sides of the shoes near the ankle gap of the shoe

Many shoe companies make laces way too long. I don’t mind showing them if they are smaller laced.

the last solutions works only with flat laces if you dont want to die suffering :D i dont know why i dont see nowhere my solution which is to tie a knot just behind the hole on the both sides of the lace, then cut the rest and burn the cut with the lighter. no laces in your shoe, just fixed to the position you need for the lifetime
