I was fully aware of this and I still bought the MBP because I needed portability and the eco-system.

2018, Base 15" has been amazing for me so far but I'll definitely be getting the 2018 (If they release one) iMac when they're out.

Lol, why is this even a comparison 😂 The 5k imac fully speced out against the mbp fully speced is a no brainer. imac has more ghz turbo boost, better graphics card, better ram and the screen of course 5k! Portability is the only good thing for the mbp in this comparison. Let’s not forget the freaking amazing bass from the speakers on the imac.

You guys should test the 5k iMac vs the 2.6 i7 Mb pro. Is thermal throttling as much of an issue? Maybe the performance gap would be smaller if it isn’t.

What bothers me is that you compare Macs as it used only for video editing, but not everyone is video editor !


It would be nice of you to look on Mac performance not only from video editor perspective. Because this is channel is not for video editors only.
