Pin boards together with bamboo skewers / standing desk

Joining pieces of wood that aren't quite straight, using bamboo skewers to reinforce and force alignment. This to build the top for a standing desk frame. Ordering the frame without the top is usually about $70 USD less.

There is nothing shameful or dirty about sanding dowels, its natural, healthy, clean, and essential for a healthy table . I sand my dowels when needed and have no problems with it. Mr. Wandel I applaud you for advocating for healthy dowel sanding.

I always love your videos thank you for posting. One recommendation from a person who has done that exact board joining before: try sending the dowels on one side of the dowel to a sharp point. That way they can all easily find the open hole which is close enough in alignment on the adjacent board
