The MOST Cinematic Blade and Sorcery Golem Fight ever...

The Hector Golem boss fight is one of the best things about the Blade and Sorcery full release. A cinematic fight with no sorcery. Yeah maybe "MOST cinematic EVER" is a bit of a stretch, but such titles I must make for the ruthless algorithm... I tried my best though I hope it's pretty good none the less. Had some even more epic fights but I messed up in them towards the end. Hard to do the whole thing flawlessly! Though this one isn't flawless either ;)
Sped up slow motion footage was used.

If I didn’t know what blade and sorcery was I would think this is the greatest animation

the title doesn't lie, genuinely the most cinematic thing I've seen when it comes to blade and sorcery

the ending where he just throws down his weapon and falls to the ground, almost as if he were on an adrenaline rush that whole fight and finally succumbed to his wounds.

that gravity jump at 2:10 was so kickass

I love the physical acting you out in too. Like taking a knee, skirting around the edge to peek, or even just the occasional dramatic pauses. Felt like it was an actually cinematic, scripted cutscene! Great work!

This is probably one of the coolest things I’ve ever seen in VR

Damnnn, the way they did the fall and catch on the ledge at 2:08 was like it was straight out of a movie, that shit was fire.

Having done my first completion of Crystal Hunt, I can indeed say that Hector is a worthy boss fight. Makes you be aware of your environment, makes you need to think quick about how to get to those weakpoint-protecting glowstones, recognize what weapons would be suitable for dealing with his weakpoints, and of course the (personally disorienting and nausea-inducing) flailing about during the colossus climb in order to reach the upper points. And of course the experimentation, I wasn't even aware you could stun him with the shield throw and interrupt that charging beam.

So, we've seen a skilled warrior tackle a fully powered golem, but now I wonder how a full-mage would fare, or perhaps other thematic combatants when mods get updated. Jedi/Sith would be neat, as would a Mandelorean. A Hunter from Bloodborne would also be fun, or someone from Final Fantasy, or Assassin's Creed, hell we could see what a ninja from the Narutoverse could do. This update's pretty good in Vanilla, can only get even better when those mods get updated and online for more thematic dungeon runs~

Bro this was so cool I can't even describe it, your movements are so fluent it genuinely feels like a movie

it feels like the golem is a paid actor but also acting like how the devs codeed it too, like how sometimes it allows you to take rest and stuff but also attacks you. 2:37 this is my favorite part because it feels like the golem knows too do that but it's really just the code

Damn that was so well made, the physical acting was pretty sick. It really seemed like someone actually fighting a golem and not just someone playing a character in a game.

I can't help but think that, in a shocking twist, all those crystals the player has been smashing actually have nothing to do with the Golem's life. It just really really liked using them as decorations for itself and its room, and it's actually just getting more and more pissed every time one gets broken.

No big complicated praise here, this was just amazing.

Sped up slow motion with B&S is a match made in heaven. you could make any fight as cinematic as you want and it's a gift that keeps on giving.
I dunno why some people get funny about sped up footage tbh. It makes the video more entertaining.
