I learned a lot of old remedies to help patients when I first became an RN. One of them was warm prune juice. It works for constipation or when surgical patients can't expel gas or feces. You can even give them a prune juice cocktail: half prune juice, half OJ. It tastes great and really works well and is a natural fix for constipation or trapped gas.

For those susceptible to lectins, be careful with certain foods mentioned here such as bean/legumes/peanuts. These tear at the stomach lining.

Done the whole 30 diet for 6 weeks…..my dr told me yesterday - you now have type 2 diabetes. I answered- don’t think so I’ll come in tomorrow and (today) and do my labs. Sure she said …..I am no longer diabetic…..went from 7.1 to 6.2 in 6 weeks….I am extremely happy….lost 12 lbs too.

I must be eating right for my body. I eliminate waste 3-4x a day. I'm very careful about what I eat and get plenty of hydration. No junk food, no fast food, no sodas or candy. I read labels on everything and make things from scratch. In my mid70s and take zero pharmakeia, even OTC. I think I'll stick with what I've been doing.

Walking has been the best constipation remedy for humankind, keep moving and you'll never suffer from it. "They" told us that drinking water helps you with this issue but I know people who drinks two gallons a day and they are constipated just the same. What it gets the intestines stuff with the wrong "stuffing" is those carbohydrates. Have you squeeze a bite of bread?? Any bread. Have you squeezed a scoop of rice? Do it and you will se how those form a rubbery substance hard to break. Did you know your intestines squeeze too many times the food you took hours before? Yep, now you got balls of food that stay there and are hard to move down if you don't move, jump, run, walk, etc . It is just common sense to keep the body moving, we were created to be in constant movement. If something a spoon of olive oil a day could do more for you than water for this issue.

Regarding an apple a day - modern apples have been modified to the point that they now contain 19 grams of sugar (fructose). Don't drink apple juice; at least eat the whole fruit. Organic heirloom fruits are the best for you.

Biggest help to my digestion was not drinking water 30 min before food & 90 mins after . Allowing stomach acids to work.

I use a little ACV in water and little bit lemon juice.

I'm looking into a theory to brushing teeth only in evening before bed, will allow some bacteria to naturally get into food during the course of the day to obviously help digestion. Rather than virtual sterilising with toothpastes and washes in the morning.

I've moved gradually to a lower carb diet . If you move to quickly onto low carb the micro biom cannot cope . As its use to carb / sugar .
So shift gradually or its possible to get extreme constipation .
