Great overview Bob! 🤘Agreed the quality of the Minimax model can be so real, it ends the need for using stock video footage. The argument its so good and improved so rapidly, is that China is leading the way with Video AI because they are sharing and being "open source" with AI video tech. At the rate of progress this is going, folks could be creating their own TV shows at home in a couple of years :)

Great work - got me thinking of all kinds of projects. Though I will need a subscription after being so impressed with what Minimax can already help me produce. The pro mode at $94 a month might be ok for a production company but for us mere mortals I think the $10 a month would be manageable. I will hold off a bit as they are supposedly working on an annual "standard" rate which will presumably work out to be less than $10 a month they charge and I'm pretty sure this could keep me busy for more than a year.

That film adaptation was incredibly well done, bringing back memories from the Ayahuasca ceremonies I experienced during my visits to the Amazon jungle.

Runway is only 720p on Gen3, what is the output size/quality with Minimax's image to video?
Seems to only be 720p also correct?
Recommended upscaler not named capcut or topaz?
I seem to be getting better quality results in detail and sharpness with Runway so far

This is the closest flow you can get to a "Video LoRA" :)

LTX studio might be worth revisiting now they've added lip sync (before everything was a voice over), at least for generating pre-production walk throughs.

Despite all the advances in AI, it's still extremely time consuming to put together even the shortest movie.
If I had the time and budget I'd combine Minimax, 11labs and Flux API's into a single workflow. Potentially you could program and entire movie from a script that included dialog and prompts and let the computer do the heavy lifting. On second thoughts, currently it would have to be Kling, purely for the lip synching capability...
