It time for another Adult coloring book. My honest review and flipthrough of the artist edition of "Secret Garden". Should you buy this adult coloring book if you already own the double sided version? Maybe Is it worth getting instead of the double sided version? Maybe not. Is there new art here? No.

You may want to check out the Color Me series. There is Color Me Stress-Free, Color Me Calm, and Color Me Happy. That third one I think would appeal to you.

Greetings, the whits areas in the Secret Garden the Artist edition can be filled in with watercolors, and you don't have to drown the pages for them to look nice and thats a very good thing and I can use my Derwent Inktense and i can use my FC watercolor pencils and for the back ground my Holbien watercolors and that's a very, very good thing!!! Keep up the good work that you do!!!

I was excited to see the artist edition until you said "I CANNOT GET THE and I was like.... yep... thank you so much for the review!!!
If I can't get the layers I want, I can't be happy... I'm going back to canning and printing the patters out on the paper I work with. Best thing is I can either frame that or bind all the pages together into a book.

I always appreciate your reviews because I think they are thorough and helpful. I wondered if you read the description of this particular book before you purchased it? I only ask because it doesn't claim to have any new art, in fact it says it has 20 of the most popular images from the first book. I believe they touted it as an artist is edition because they are expecting folks to pull the pages out and frame them. I understand your frustration because you are right, paper without tooth is much harder to layer with color pencil. Thank you for showing us the three books and how they compare, as well as what your feelings are about each. It helps to know before purchasing what you are getting, and you always save me from buying the wrong thing for me.

Another great video...I was thinking about buying this artist's edition, but I think I'll wait on that..I like your honest reviews, it helps me to decide if I should buy it or not :)
I have a question for you, in coloring these Johanna Basford books, do you use colored pencils, gel pens, or a combo of both?I have bought all 3 of her books and I'm thinking about using both colored pencils and gel pens..that's one awesome thing about these coloring books is that you can color them however YOU want :)

Just wish the regular book was in white!!! I gave never colored on manilla pages, 😐. I like vibrant popping color, seems like it would be hard to do with manilla colored paper! What do u think?

Thanks for your reviews! Have you tried putting a little water down first with a waterbrush and then coloring on top with your wc pencil? I find that technique generally gives a much deeper color.
