Leslie Liao is a writer, performer, and stand-up comedian using the
stage to reflect on her experience as a single Chinese-American female
living in Los Angeles. She recently placed first in Bert's Back Room's LA's Top
Comic Competition, was a finalist in the Crazy Woke Asians comedy festival,
and she's worked on productions for E! with Anjelah Johnson (Not Fancy),
Lauren Ash (NBC's Superstore), and Punkie Johnson (SNL). Leslie has worked
on studio films such as Central Intelligence, Office Christmas Party, and
YouTube Red’s Ryan Hansen Solves Crimes on Television. Her comedy has
graced the stages of The Comedy Store, Laugh Factory, Hollywood Improv,
Flappers, Westside Comedy Theater, HaHa Comedy Club, a random hotel
she's pretty sure is haunted, and many more. In 2022, Leslie headlined at
the Fringe Festival in Edinburgh, and the Boulder Comedy Festival, and was
featured in The Comedy Chateau Festival in Los Angeles. She just filmed her
first half-hour set “Tired Woman” to be released soon.

Ghosting is unhealthy for the other person tho! I know it’s just a joke but lots of people are dumb enough to take it as a life lesson. Try to be honest about why you don’t like people online. If they ain’t creepy, theyll understand, and you give them the opportunity to improve.
Then you can ghost them. Lol

In India we have arrange marriage culture as well, i had to ghost a guy after meeting him, reason was his family mentioned he is 5'10, he was barely 5'8, and i am 5'7. More than height, the problem was lie. He was nice, but during our conversation i realised, had i not earned as much as i do now, and look the way i do (i spend to look even better), him and his family wouldn't have taken interest in me.
I ghosted him, felt guilty, we told his mom i have to focus on my career.
Basically no one had the guts to call them out on the lie, or hurt them by telling the truth, but in the end unwillingly hurt them. I am not very guilty, about it, cuz they lied. But i could have handled the situation better and more diplomatically
