Growing one in central florida. Great info, answered all my questions. This is such a slow growing plant though

Hello. Here, in Jalisco, Mex. It's in production all year round. Also, the fruits you showed could be from the same plant. It gets darker as long as it's still on the plant, goes from green to a somewhat dark purple 😂

The fruits are delicious, sweet and tart. We have the red variety, they bear fruit year round for us here in fla.

I have honestly been growing this plant for more than 10 years and still never even flowered! It was a free tree from a fruit tree nursery order. It is bushy and healthy (still potted). I have resolved that it is just an ornamental bush at this point.

Thank you for all the details. I treasure my potted one at my corridor. I heard there are medicinal values for the leaves, true?

I'm pretty sure I purchased one from your nursery a couple of years ago. This plant is disappointing for me. It is a very slow growing plant, nothing like the Barbados Cherry. It looks very sparse still after 2 years and hasn't produced a single fruit. I'll leave it in the ground for now, see if it ever produces. I'm surprised it survived the brutal summer from last year.
