Best acoustic guitarist in the world there

This man doesn’t get anywhere near the recognition he so richly deserves. In a world of EVH’s, THIS man was and is a true innovator and master of his craft.

I was lucky enough to see Tommy and his brother Phil many times at my local pub back in the day. It was so much fun then and Tommy has gone on to conquer the world since.

As a guitarist. This is an extraordinarily tough song to play, but to play it this precise and with the headbob. Master at work

Despite being a splendid guitarist, he genuinely cares about the up and comers and he has no issues with sharing the spotlight with them.

I'll tell you something else about Mr. Emmanuel....when I saw him at the Balboa Theatre (it was my birthday; I was gifted a VIP package) I heard some of his soundcheck, and, my God - I saw how he and his soundman get "that sound." It was the LOUDEST acoustic guitar mix I have ever heard - I mean, I didn't think a Acoustic guitar could possibly get that loud...it was like getting punched in the stomach. He goes for the ABSOLUTE LOUDEST DYNAMIC SIGNAL you can possibly get without going in the red - and between his Maton guitars and, I think, a Sunrise preamp that he uses, and, man - it just takes over the hall, unbelievably loud but so clean - just dynamic as hell. Now, a venue sounds completely different when it's full of people, and he knows this - that's why, when the show started it was peeled back a bit - I'm sure he didn't change a thing - but he makes absolutely sure that his signal is as dynamic and "up front" as humanly possible. And it is; you can't talk over it. It's in your face, and it shouldn't be any other way!

Saw Tommy in Mississauga, Canada. Jesse Cook was in the first row and when Tommy pointed him out, Jesse did the "I'm not worthy" bows. The greatest guitarist ever. Pure and clean.

I can't stress enough how great his version of Windy and Warm sounds man. I swear he's not one millisecond ahead or behind the tempo, always on time.

Fabulous playing. I used to hear Bill Bourne play this song back in the mid 70s when he first started out. Love it.
