Best dino's for each kibble based on the ability to capture, breed, and house them:
Basic Kibble: Dodo eggs. - Dodo's lay eggs faster than any dino in the game. Every time they "poop" they have a chance to lay an egg. Get 5 females and 1 male and you will be swimming in Dodo eggs. Fun fact, they can also be used for custom recipes.
Simple Kibble: Compy, Dimorph, Pteranadon - All of these are very easy to tame and have a small footprint. They also breed and grow quickly so a single pair can get multiple females in short order.
Regular Kibble: Ictyhornis, Pelagornis - Both of these are very easy to tame with a bola and tranqs. (Shoot the icthy in the body.. they die easily) and have a small footprint at your base. They are in easy to find and are in relatively safe areas. Ichty's also become very useful later when you are taming otters.
Superior - Maschops, Argentavis - Moschops are the easiest tames in the game. Especially with how easy rare flowers and mushrooms are to get. Argentavis's you should have loads of. This all-purpose bird is stock in every stable. Capture 2.. breed them.. use them. They both have a pretty small footprint as well.
Exceptional - Therizino. Smallest available dino. Extremely useful harvester. Super hard hitting boss killer. You will have many of these.
Extraordinary - Only 2 choices. Yutyrannus, Hesporonis. If you are near a bit of water that is safe, Golden Hesporonis eggs are best as they also give your dino's an experience gain buff when eaten and the normal eggs can be cooked into oil, eliminating your need to go out and harvest oil. Yuty's are tough to tame, but you will be taming them for boss fights.

As stated, higher tier kibbles work for all previous tier recipes. That being said, I usually don't use them unless I am at a stage of the game where all the other resources necessary to create kibbles are easy to acquire.
Kibble is ALSO good for more than taming. Daedon's use a LOT of food when healing your tames. Superior kibble refills that hunger faster than any other food. Basic Kibble is better than any meat, cooked or raw as well and is easy to make. So if you are doing boss fights, and you don't have loads of superior kibble, Basic kibble will do. It's not as much as superior, but more than meat and he can be force fed them during a fight.
Finally, get oviraptors and LEAVE breeding ON. Fertilized eggs can be used for kibble. If you leave breeding on, you will get the normal unfertilized egg drops and the fertilized ones. Increasing your harvest.

I love how the developers made ASA more player friendly with recipes, and other blueprints automatically available to look up in the appliances or utilities. Figuring out the recipes on our own was fun in ASE but it was frustrating for some time. I wonder since they are bringing more quality of life features to the gameplay if they will add an industrial food processor, "an industrial preserving bin", it seems like one of the only things missing from the culinary section of this game.

I always just made extraordinary kibble for everything, from a dinonychus egg farm, cuz they're fairly compact to make a densely packed breeding box.
But no dinonychus on the island map.

tame a bee, yuti and some crops. I always go strait to extraordinary kibble. end game I do a doo doo farm for basic kibble for the trough. as they give 100 food vrs 40 for meat. they stack higher and last longer.

if you don't know what kibble an egg is used for, read the description of that egg instead of looking in the pot, it wil read out : "gives basic nurisment" or something, with basic being the name of the kibble it is used for, so "superior nurishment" for eggs used for superior kibble.

Make Yuti eggs farm.
It will produce eggs that can use for extradinary kibble recipe.
That recipe will covered most of dino's taming food, you didn't need the rest.
Also using kibble can decrease the time you need to tame down so much more than using normal raw meat tame.

Can I use Extraordinary kibble to tame all dinos since it's the highest tier kibble?

Been looking for this answer and cant find it for asa. On ase dinos accepted any tier kibble above the one they preferred.

A yuty kibble farm sounds so much better than getting kibble of every tier.
