Ukraine Peace Summit I Swiss ambassador to SA commends SA's peace talks efforts

The Swiss ambassador to South Africa, Mirko Manzoni, says his country has agreed to host Ukraine peace summit with the aim of ensuring that a process of bringing the two parties together starts even though Russia will not be present.

He has also commended South Africa's role in trying to facilitate peace talks between Russians and Ukraine.

The ambassador is lying when he claims Russia chose not to attend. Russia was not initially invited. The summit was intended as a one-sided mandate for an ultimatum demanding Russia to withdraw from Ukraine. They only decided to invite Russia after most countries refused to attend the one-sided peace talks without Russian participation. Russia recognized the insincerity of this last-minute invitation and rejected it.
