My French grandfather would have loved this film. He passed away 2 years ago and the movie brought back a lot of memories of him. I've just seen it, it's fantastic.

I love the angle they took with this movie, the fact that she chooses to share about her experience for the boy's sake. This is so true. I know several in my family who never shared a word until the end of their lives. They had every right to keep their experiences to themselves, but I am so thankful for what they ended up sharing because it changed me.

A long time ago, after a lifetime of experiencing unkindness, well as as kindness, I put, as the No. 2 characteristic I would always look for in a person "compassion, with its practical expression - kindness". More and more we seem to be creating an unkind world, where TV shows even feature an unkind word or act as a source of laughter, so it is encouraging to me and intriguing to see this trailer. I have never heard of the author, but will certainly go looking .

I just saw it in a sneak preview in germany (Release date here is 11. April). A truly beautiful and very emotional movie about compassion, love, and willingness to help in a very dark time. At the end, I sobbed silently in my seat.
