Corel Draw Combine vs Weld

Hi Steve, Do you have any info on "inter character spacing" where we can type in the values?

I have a series of letters - numbers that have to be 1/2" wide at the legs of the letters then the spacing needs to be 1/2 from one to the other. If I stroke them, when I cut them out after welding - it only cuts the original size. If I use my Sign Tools program to 'bold' them to the right size - the Corel tool for spacing them no longer works. it says it only works on text. I'm at a loss and meanwhile will have to pay someone to cut out these letters in vinyl - but would like to know what the answer is - if thanks
