True but you glossed over so much that you focused on issues that didn't matter outside of the 3 topics.

1) It does involve GB but it would be the failure to stop the Dunkirk evacuation, the idea to start the battle of Britain (technically letting up on attacks against the RAF in the SE to go after London but different debate), and/or the failure to capture the Suez canal.

2) You are correct yet wrong in your reasoning. The failure was the focus on capturing Leningrad rather than just bypassing it and taking the much more important points behind it. Siege doctrine that Germany used against Eben-Emael would have worked better. A bigger failure was also not continuing their push towards the caucus oil fields.
