I love LEGO, but this price increase, in addition to the already high price of Star Wars sets, is a turn off.

Absolutely ridiculous. They are breaking new records every year with how much they make, only to raise prices.

Have prices not already increased? This year alone we’ve seen a 33% increase in battle packs. The mandalorian starfighter is $60. Already an inflated price and that is supposed to go up to $70 by August. Just a couple examples to show they have already increased their prices.

I never heard of a company saying they will be raising prices in a few months, so weird, they just raise it. They wouldn't want you to buy it a day before prices goes up

Can't believe they decided to offload this cost onto the fans while simultaneously investing 1 BILLION DOLLARS into Epic Games and the whole Metaverse garbage....

$35 for Obi-Wans starfighter is absolutely criminal. I rarely buy sets that aren't 20% off anymore, but will certainly not be making any purchases with LEGO directly any time soon.

At a certain point they are going to increase the prices so much people become discouraged and end up spending less with Lego than they originally would have otherwise. At some point this may end up hurting their bottom line more than helping. Definitely going to be waiting for Amazon/Walmart/Costco discounts and NOT buying directly from Lego.

Classy thing would've been to keep existing sets the same price until they retire, and account for inflation in new sets as they release.

What I don't understand is that people say that Lego is not overpriced because you're paying for other things (lego stores, quality control, making instructions, licencing, profit 25% I think, Etc...) and not just the plastic which makes up around under 5%! If the plastic costs are what's driving the price up (or so they say), then why is lego raising the prices as if we think that the plastic costs make up the price of a set! Lets just say that if the plastic is 30% more expensive which is really high, then the set should be 7.5% (30% of the 25% of the plastics cost in a set) more expensive instead of 15%! For Example, using the 30% increase example from above, then the old Obi-Wan's jedi starfighter plastic price is approx. 7.50$ and the new price (with the 30% example) is approx. 9.75$ - a 2.25$ increase from the old price AND NOT 15$!! I just don't understand why lego has to take advantage of the fanbase because they think that we are stupid and they can get away with it with no repercussions. After originally hearing about this year's summer wave, I really thought lego was trying to do better and listen to the fans but I am sorely disappointed. I know $5 doesnt sound like a lot, but to people who don't get much money like myself because they're too young or don't have a large salary or whatever, that price change is gonna make me really rethink how much I want to stay as a lego customer. hell, I might even have to spend money on food instead of lego

I thought the Justifier was so overpriced already at $160 so they didn't have to drive the price up, but apparently that isn't the case, I can't justify buying the justifier at $160 already, this puts the nail in the coffin for me

Let’s not forget they just invested 1 billion USD in the freaking metaverse. Honestly the corporate sector of Lego is in shambles

there are some arguments for this price increase by lego but some of the increases are absolutely insane and unjustified. especially for the bigger sets. they r just trying to squeeze more money out of their fans. and yea i don't have a whole lot of money for lego but so this could be biased but lego is starting to feel more and more inaccessible as time goes on and that's kinda sad to think about.

The Helmet Sets should have come with the corresponding Minifigure then I could see the price increase worth it.
