I have the Soto Windmaster with the triflex stand and recently bought the Firemaple FMC-XK6 (the 1 liter pot) after seeing your video and specifically asking if the triflex fit the 1 liter as it does the 600ml. They told me yes it did. I got the pot today, and NO it does NOT have the same cutouts at all. Just for giggles, I did a boil test between it and my Toaks Titanium pot (1100ml) with .5 liters of water, and the boil times were within seconds of each other 3 times in a row. So I would have to say that the 1 liter Firemaple pot with heat exchanger is NOT worth the money, or the extra small weight penalty. I did also order the 600ml as you show here, and am hoping for better results.

Fast boil times are the least fuel-efficient way of boiling water though. If you run the gas valve at 30-40% open then efficiency is maximized. Combine that with a heat exchanger pot and then fuel usage is minimized. The cost of all that fuel efficiency then being increased bulk and weight! If I then have a heavier and bigger pack to carry then my energy expenditure goes up too. In the end it’s a matter of picking your poison - you can’t have it all, although I get that’s it’s fun trying to get there!

I just did a comparison between this pot and a snow peak solo, using same exact stove and two cups of water.

Fire Maple: 1:57, 6 grams of fuel.

Snow Peak: 2:20, 8 grams of fuel.

Using the smallest canister that would give me 16 boils instead of 12.

The weight of the FM is 168 g vs SP at 158 g. If I use the SP lid for the FM (not perfect, but…), I save 8 g. If I remove the FM handle I can save 18 g.

I’m splitting hairs, but it’s fun to experiment. I’m more about the fuel savings, so if everything else is relatively equal, it’s a win.

Just bought one they are amazing, PS Put a washing sponge in the top, it stops it all rattling and moving about and useful for cleaning. Or a micro cloth.

BRS-3000 отлично подходит к этой кружке. Ножки надо подогнуть совсем немного.

I don't understand the race to boil water. My favorite times are cooking in the woods. The all time favorite meal was ground beef peas, corn, potatoes seasoning wrapped in aluminum foil.

Good engineering, how long would you say it can boil water?

What do you do to avoid all that stuff from rattling around inside the pot?

It’s aluminum versus titanium, correct?

This is smaller/lighter than a standard jetboil? Seriously wondering cause it looks like the exact same?

As a recent toakes 750 enjoyer, I do miss the fast boil times of the jetboil or similar. Didn’t know it existed. How does it do with a pocket rocket deluxe?

Lmao seems like a lot of over engineered and expensive equipment for something that was solved a millennia ago.
