Guitars of the Day! Re-capping the best Gibson USA guitars of the year. My picks were the Les Paul Modern Studio (a workhorse-tier take on the Les Paul Modern), the Victory (superstrat designed by Wayne Charvel), and the ES-Supreme (first time the Supreme series has expanded outside the SG or Les Paul shapes).

The original Victory headstock may be quirky but it's a much better design than the hockey stick, it allows for better tuning stability due to the straight string pull, i actually love it but agree it's a crazy left field looking thing.

The Les Paul modern studio has black neck binding. People kept thinking it did not have binding so the new gloss version, that replaced it a few weeks ago, has cream binding.

Hunter, you need to get a hemi-hollow 335/339 type guitar in your life. Super underrated for Metal. Maybe try the new Epiphone 355, or used Eastman. As a primary metal and 80's shred guy that has literally owned every type of guitar and at every price point. I came across a unicorn of an old 98' epiphone 335, and it was life changing. Im a total convert. The resonance and sustain, and volume are insane, even unplugged. You just feel so connected to every note that you play!
I can chug and squeel and shred just as easy as any of my old US jacksons and high-end ibanezeses, if not better. From chet atkins to megadeth, 70s rock, (ufo, ranbow, dio, accept, ozzy), dream theater, rush, helloween, yngwie, pantera, LoG, dream theater. My 335 does it all!

Don't forget the epiphone inspired by Gibson custom shop guitars. I got igc epiphone les paul custom in alpine white and man I love it a lot more than my Gibson les paul standard 50s model.
