We rescued two from a sanctuary, they are full size males. We have had them almost ten years and they totally rule the small farm. Our two sheep are in love with them and follow them everywhere as if they were rockstars. One in particular is the boss and a total clown. The other must have been very badly treated. No matter how hard I try I can’t get him to come around. He is scared stiff of men. He obeys but you can tell he is scared. My big boy Hamish demands hugs, loves and carrots so we’re good. Even the sheep get scratches and carrot🥰 xxx

I think donkeys deserve a lot more credit than they get for being smart and social.
At the beginning he just looked broken and completely depressed, like he had given up on life.
You did a wonderful thing bringing him back to life and it is obvious he loves you for it.

It's unfortunate that so many animals like dogs and cats as well as farm animals end up discarded for no other reason than they're no longer useful or the owners just tire of caring for them. Thank you for saving Irvin. He would be a wonderful addition to any family.
