Buckethead is an true artist, the Van Gogh of guitar. Van Gogh's art was ahead of its time. He sold one painting when he was alive, but now his art is priceless. Buckethead has written thousands of songs that are beyond the comprehension of 99 percent of modern day "music fans". Someday he will get the recognition he deserves, but unfortunately like Van Gogh, or even Nick Drake, he probably won't be here to see his final level of success. I hope he is, but even guitar "experts", and the music writers who make up the lists, top 100 guitarists of all time. well, they are so clueless that they couldn't recognize greatness if it slapped them in the face. Just like the art "experts" in 1890's.

Started listening to this phantom maestro 15 years ago, I will say that some of his songs with Blues scales get me down in the dumps but luckily there are hundreds of other songs to sample and get amped up on. He ended with “Soothsayer” and he is definitely Thee Soothsayer, keeping listeners’ hearts, souls and consciousness on his finger tips for more than 25 years. The greatest mystery of modern guitar, a mystical, cloaked virtuoso with a song archive that cannot be eclipsed. You can argue that based off the body of work, he could be the greatest guitarist of all time. In conclusion, what makes this greatest mystery all the more intriguing and unsettling to ponder is ….. we may never know the man, the myth, the legend behind the mask that will always and forever be known as Buckethead.
