Kelly's first skiing experience | Trysil

Kelly had one wish for when we were in Scandinavia: Learning how to go off a mountain on skies. So, we went skiing!

Trysil is the biggest skiing area in Norway. In this area are a lot of green and blue pistes, which were perfect for Kelly to learn. There are also a lot of red and black pistes and multiple fun areas where Nanet could improve her skills!

We really liked the huts all over the skiing area. It was warm inside and the free-to-use microwaves and grills made it possible to warm up your own food to save some costs. However, we couldn't resist a hot chocolate milk now and than! 

The first day we arrived she refused going into a drag lift, so went all the way up with a chair lift. When we came up we noticed very quickly that this reached a bit beyond her skills. We managed to come down together, but Kelly didn't really like her first attempt.

We went to a green piste where she was able to improve herself very quickly! After just two days she was ready to go in the chair lift again and she came down without any problems!

The temperature was lower than Nanet is used to when skiing in Austria. Some days is was -23°C, but other days it was only -6°C. We were lucky to have some sun on our first couple of days, as we didn't see the sun anymore after these days. Snowy days and misty days also passed during our 8 day trip, but that is what you can expect when you go skiing. We loved our time in Trysil and definitely go skiing more often!

Such a cool experience! It is nice that it wasn't too busy! It makes it much easier when you are not trying to dodge other skiers! I am looking forward to following along on more of your adventures! :)
