Best Value Compact Tractor? We checked out the new 2020 TYM Tractors T264 at the 2020 National Farm Machinery Show. This is a head to head challenge for the Kubota B Series tractor. Joe, who we interviewed, has been going to this show for 50 years. At 85, he started selling tractors when he was 21 years old. Watch this great interview of a professional tractor man. Thank you Joe and thank you TYM for telling our viewers about your tractor. We challenged TYM to put one of these tractors to work on Tony's Tractor Adventure. We shall see!
This TYM T264 tractor would be perfect for a hobby farm, homestead, or small livestock producer. The loader lifts 1881 pounds at the tip of the bucket. That is impressive. This tractor was designed to go head to head with the Kubota B series tractor. I think this is a home run matching up so close at a very good price point. TYM is also offering a bold warranty with their tractors.

You sold me Tony. Got mine from Ocala Tractor last month. The wife might actually love it more than me!

Nice looking tractor. Seeing a couple of these new ones your showing is having me worry about buyers remorse. 😀😀😀

Best looking compact tractor in my opinion. The little factory heated cab for it has been produced at least 12 years. Little cab is modern and in proportion to the tractor's size.

One thing I also noticed which is nice is the hood is super sloped down to increase loader visibility from the operator station

That's a really nice tractor. Well built.

When I change the oil on my T264, the used oil doesn't even look like used diesel oil black full of soot etc, when I did my first change I had to do a double take. That would seem to indicate to me that there's nill blow-by and not often rich mix. Whatever it means, I for one have been really impressed

Great video 👍 TYM has always been a tractor I have wanted to get some seat time on. TYM seem to be very well built machines, strong heavy frames, heavy loader frame and great lift numbers nice hydraulic volume long story short it's a nice rig for sure. Thanks for sharing.

The T264 is such a well designed Tractor with every feature you would ever need. If people would get away from the “Green” or “Orange”brand mentality or other brand engrained in their brain they would find this is the better buy.
Not saying tractors vary that much but, when it comes to quality this machine isn’t lacking at all.

Engine reliability is really important, next to that, the hydrostatic drive reliability is a close second.

Love the tractor! 2 downsides: loader hoses are goofy, where does all that extra hose hang when the loader is off? The radiator is not reverse flow, may into issue bush hogging.

I'm new to tractors and just bought a T264 . We also bought land in an area that gets about 2 ft of snow each year . Looking at a front snow blower but it says tractor needs a Mid PTO . Does the T264 come with a Mid mount PTO ? if not can one be installed ? Thanks

I had a TYM a few years back and it was a hefty little machine. I used it and abused it and it did everything I ever asked of it, including digging a quarter acre pond, 8 ft deep. I have a Kubota now, comparable in size, and it is simply a whimp compared to the TYM. I should have stuck with red. Live and learn.

💥 Great overview Tony. Thanks for the info. Interesting testament to the quality of the engine. I want to know about that mic you use. It has terrific sound quality.
Keep on tractoring!

Tony I think the Rhinohide canopy is going to adapt well to that weird hooked forward ROPS It can mount in front and below the hooked forward top. 👍

Cummins has worked with Kukje since 2002 now from what I know. The Tym tractor range is based off of deutz I think in larger sizes

These are very similar to kiotis, almost the same weight and wheelbase. Kubotas have longer wheelbase but about 500lbs lighter. I sat on one today and wish it had tilt steer and more foot room on the pedals, (cab leaves less foot room) The axles and steering linkage are much bigger on these than the LS and Solis they had beside them. Lastly, if it doesn't have the "cummins" engine it will have a japanese yanmar, same as JD.
