Van Compatibility Test Series - 2021 Commercial Van Safety

To illustrate some of the safety concerns around commercial vans, a half-laden Nissan NV400 was crashed into the compact SUV Nissan Juke. The NV400, shares its design with the Renault Master and, like its sister the Opel/Vauxhall Movano, received its latest facelift in 2019. The Nissan Juke is the brand’s latest flagship and a solid Euro NCAP overall 5-star performer in 2019. The NV400’s compatibility was also separately analysed using the new Euro NCAP Mobile Progressive Deformable (MPDB) barrier test.

Would LOVE to see more, especially commercial vehicles or large SUV vs. passenger vehicles

It definitely is a good idea to test commercial vehicles like this one, so bosses can make sure the vehicle their workers use is safe.

Ok seems vans are now finally tested as they weren't before and I am Astonished how well it held up. Even the van to car test went well with the car making it survivable. Good strong car the juke is.

It amazes me that something like that van doesnt have dual front airbags at a minimum in the 2020s.. I'd expect that for something marketed in India or Brazil where they have zero mandatory safety regs for cars yet.. But wow

Large SUV vs normal vehicles are important too as that's a very dangerous situation as well. We need to know exactly how smaller than SUV cars deal with an SUV impact...otherwise we all buy Land Cruisers to increase the safety of our family, but everyone driving Land Cruisers for that reason would not be good neither.
