Elon Musk CONFIRMS Tesla Bot 2.0 Optimus Gen 3 Only $20K, Do Everything! Next Gen Will Be Homemaker. Tesla is gearing up to produce millions of humanoid robots and will keep ramping up production until there are billions of Optimus units worldwide. "“So my guess is humanoid robots are more like at a billion plus per year”." (3:15/3:20) The reality is, these robots will handle countless tasks around your home, and all you’ll need to do is spend $20,000 to buy one. Elon Musk and the Tesla team have repeatedly talked about the range of tasks their Optimus robots can perform, from simple to complex. It’s no coincidence that Tesla is confident they have the most advanced humanoid robot in the world. So, what exactly can Tesla’s Optimus do once it leaves the factory? Is it truly the HomeMaker? Let’s find out.

Elon Musk CONFIRMS Tesla Bot 2.0 Optimus Gen 3 Only $20K, Do Everything! Next Gen Will Be Homemaker. Tesla Optimus for Housework
What do you think about a humanoid robot that can prepare your breakfast every morning, mow the overgrown lawn, fold all the laundry, or even tutor your kids without needing to hire a teacher? Clearly, you’d save three things most people crave—time, energy, and money—by using a robot to manage your home. And when it comes to the tasks a Tesla Bot could handle, Musk has confidently stated multiple times that it could truly replace humans in tedious, dangerous, and repetitive daily chores. He’s even hinted that you could make money with this robot.

Elon Musk CONFIRMS Tesla Bot 2.0 Optimus Gen 3 Only $20K, Do Everything! Next Gen Will Be Homemaker. However, many people remain skeptical about the role of the Tesla Bot if it hits the market. We’ve seen comments suggesting that even if Elon Musk drops the price to $10,000 or even $5,000, they wouldn’t spend their money on it if it ends up being nothing more than an expensive toy with limited functionality.
There’s no denying that the main reason customers, including ourselves, turn to robots is to make everyday life easier. With only 24 hours in a day, most of us spend over 8 hours at work, and coming home to a pile of chores can feel like a nightmare. But imagine a different scenario: you walk through the door to find a freshly cooked meal, a spotless house, and, even better, the robot is ready to grab a cold beer or any drink from the fridge while you relax on the couch. Sounds amazing, right? But you’re not dreaming—Tesla’s Optimus robot could actually make this a reality.

The fact that it can learn tasks just by watching videos is mind-blowing.

How will Tesla address potential concerns about hackers or cybersecurity threats with Optimus operating in sensitive family environments?

I’m a bit worried about privacy when it comes to monitoring children. How safe will that data be?

Having a robot that reminds you to take medication is a great idea, especially for seniors.

Assuming the positive, I’d be interested in a multi-year lease, and if the lease rate could be $200/month. As a retired Senior Citizen at 79 years old. Optimus could help family members, know that I’m in good condition. Optimus could manage my health & wellness, cleaning and organizing, taking the trash to the trash shoot room, be a “friend.”

If Optimus is capable of cooking and cleaning, what safeguards will be in place to ensure it does so safely, particularly with sharp objects and hot surfaces?

In terms of pricing, how does Tesla plan to make Optimus accessible to a broader audience? Will there be financing options for families on a budget?

December 2015: Musk predicted that "complete autonomy" would be implemented by 2018.
October 2016: Musk predicted that a coast-to-coast "fully autonomous" drive would happen before the end of 2017.
April 2017: Musk predicted that drivers would be able to sleep in their vehicle while it drives itself in around two years.
2018: Tesla revised the date to demonstrate full autonomy to the end of 2019.
April 2019: Musk predicted that there would be over a million robotaxis on the road the following year.
June 2024: Musk predicted that Tesla's FSD-S system would be so good that it would take over a year of driving to get even one intervention.

Like FSD, the AI and robot stuff is another con from Musk. As PT Barnum quipped: ""There's a sucker born every minute".

Do you (yes you, reply with your response) think that the first time you see an Optimus robot that has driven itself to the grocery store and is doing some shopping will be before or after January 1, 2030?

Employers will buy these instead of having employees. Why continually pay someone to work when you can just buy a robot that you only pay for once? Its cheaper. We're going to be obsolete.
