7:30 am. yesterday, my family started their bs, whining in the family group chat. "This is such a sad day for America." "This is so unfair." Yada Yada Yada. But I was the bad guy for not agreeing with them. They can have their opinions but I can't have mine. But they want freedom. No, they only want freedom for people who think exactly like them. They hate illegal immigrants. Complain about them all the time. My own cousin was denied citizenship in Canada, even though she married a Canadian. Do you think she came back home and accepted their decision?? NO. She worked illegally under the table, and my whole family sympathized with her (rightly) about her boss mistreating her because of her illegal status. But my cousin wasn't a poor person escaping violence, gangs, or trafficking. She was a middle-class woman who just WANTED to live in Canada. Regardless of what Canada had to say about it. It was okay for her to do that in my family's eyes. But it's not okay for poor people to sacrifice everything to get a better life or give a better life to their child(ren). I'm so disappointed in them.

I remember when misspelling the word potato was grounds for voters not wanting to vote for someone. Even a guy yelling in his speech was enough to tank someone's campaign. Sadly these days people will accept just about anything including a woman who has been arrested before many times and even racism isn't enough for some people to not vote for someone.

People, please. It's not about the lesser of 2 evils... it's about the lesser of who is actually truly evil. Biden isn't the best, but he's far better than the worst. It's such a shame that the democratic party seems so obsessed on making sure it self-destructs. We really need to start voting for people who are young enough to actually make change. Someone who is nearly 80, in a more broad form of a minority (65+)17%, CANNOT speak for the majority of the country, that is under 65. Which is 83% of the country. The 65 retirement age should be STRICTLY implemented for government positions.

It’s so fucked because when it comes to celebrities or high profile cases, the judge will always “consider the background of the person” but when it’s a regular degular person who commits crimes, none of that stuff is considered. Do judges take into account poverty or bad childhoods when sentencing drug crimes? Theft? Anything NOT white collar? They say they do, but the sentencings show the truth.
